LEVEL: Beginner/ Anyone who has not used a machine before or wants to know how to operate one or their own machine with confident.
Duration: 1 day - 3.5hr
Materials and tools : All included 

Course contents will cover:
  • Learn about the different machines and models.
  • How to use a  sewing machine
  • Health and safety of machines
  • What tools you need for sewing, needles and thread
  • How to change foots, wind thread and bobbin
  • How to adjust tension and trouble shooting and maintain your machine and parts
  • Learn basic sewing, use different stitches
  • Learn different fabrics and finishes and sew a pillow case.
  •  Make different seams, open closes

On completion :
  • You will have understood the importance of the contents through personal demonstration
  • You will have completed the stitching exercise using different stitches
  • You will have completed finished seam exercises
  • Take away handouts of information to practice at home
  • Receive feedback sheet of strengths and room for improvement for further learning
  • Receive SIIL certificate of completion
